Roasted Peanuts in Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 1 cup raw peanuts (with or without skin)
- ½ tsp salt (optional)
- ½ tsp oil (optional, for better coating)
- Optional: pinch of turmeric, chili powder, or chaat masala
Method
Step 1: Preheat
Preheat your air fryer to 180°C for 3 minutes.
Step 2: Prep the Peanuts
If using oil, lightly toss peanuts with oil and salt (and spices if you want flavored peanuts).
Skip oil if you prefer completely dry roasting.
Step 3: Air Fry
Spread peanuts in a single layer in the basket.
Air fry at 180°C for 8–10 minutes.
Step 4: Shake & Roast Evenly
Shake the basket once or twice in between (around 4–5 minutes mark).
Step 5: Cool Down
Let them cool for 5–10 minutes.
They will become crispier as they cool.
Pro Tips (This is where most people mess up)
- Don’t overcrowd the basket, or they’ll roast unevenly
- Slightly undercook rather than overcook — peanuts burn fast at the end
- If using skin-on peanuts, rub them after cooling to remove skin easily
- For extra crunch, extend 1–2 minutes but keep checking
